Modern Children Modern Children formed in winter 2006 found on Hong Kong. Winter 2006, Chih (Guitar/ Bass) with great influence by indie-pop band Belle & Sebastian would like to form an indie-pop band, so he invited his twin brother Hin (Drum) to join in and advertised on an internet local band forum to find the rest of the members. The post did rebounds. Kenneth Tsang (Vocal/ Guitar/ Bass), who formed bands in Hong Kong, Japan, and Texas, and Jimmy Cheung (Guitar/ Bass) contacted Chih after seeing the post. The band is formed. Few weeks later, Kenneth introduced his college friend Sai Ho aka S.T (Violin/ Programmer), an Audio-Visual artist (st-saiho.com), to the rest of the band members, and hence the 5 people line-up of the band is formed. Modern Children do not want to be confined by only one musical style, on the contrary, they add different elements in their songs and play different kinds of music, including post-rock, psychedelic, electronic, indie pop, post-punk, and etc. After numerous jamming sessions, they developed their own style, which is alternative music with pop melodies. Poubelle International POUBELLE INTERNATIONAL is a three-piece band that was formed in 2007 by three finely bearded designers over a lavish but bland three-course dinner. After having smoked three cigarettes in silence and feeling strangely content with their three tall glasses of Tanqueray, the trio shook hands and agreed upon a common mission; to play it loud! Poubelle International write three-minute songs about three different subjects - true lust, broken trust and plain wishful thinking. They practice playing three instruments three times a week on the third floor of a warehouse situated three blocks from a corner where a pretty girl sells flowers. It seems to help them focus. The trio aim to write simple, addictive songs… and deliver them loud enough to make boys tap their feet and girls shake their girly bits. Velvette Vendetta Velvette Vendetta is influenced by a wide range of music genres – ranging from metal, indie, jazz, goth-rock, funk, blues, classical, pop to techno. However, the band’s musical direction reflects late 90’s alternative rock and grunge. This beautiful mix of genres blended with a hint of “dark” classical music is Velvette Vendetta’s ingredient.
