Independent live music organisation The Underground HK is delighted to announce the relaunch of its Shazza Music Showcases, with the first event taking place at The Wanch venue on Wednesday, March 22. Featuring four emerging local acts, the first of the key industry showcases start at 9pm and is free entry.
The Underground has supported and championed numerous Hong Kong bands and artists since its inception in 2004. Over 500 bands performed at Shazza Music Showcases shows from 2009 to 2019, but the event took a break during the Covid pandemic when live music was restricted.
The night opens with KASA playing acoustic songs, both originals and covers, before WARRIOR MONK takes to the stage, performing synth rock. Next up is DYSFUNCTION, playing post-punk garage rock, before GRAVITY closes the night with a hard rock set.
“We have been overwhelmed by bands and fans asking us when we will resume the showcase, which has been running since 2009,” said Chris B, founder of The Underground HK. “There is surging popularity for indie music in the city and the excitement of discovering the ‘next big thing’. New bands that played past showcases include Nowhere Boys and Shumking Mansion, both now established firmly in Hong Kong.”

The Underground HK 將會响 3 月 22 日號星期三晚喺經典嘅 The Wanch重新推出舉足輕重嘅「 Shazza 音樂展示會Showcase #122」，包括四個嶄露頭角嘅樂隊表演。
獨立現場音樂組織 The Underground HK 好高興宣布重新推出 Shazza 音樂展示會。打嚮頭炮有3 月 22 日星期三晚 9 點喺The Wanch舉行嘅四隊樂隊演出，免費入場。
自 2004 年成立以嚟，The Underground 一直支持無數嘅香港樂隊同音樂唱作人。由 2009 年到 2019 年，總共超過 500 支樂隊嘅 Shazza Music Showcases 演出過。直到最近新冠疫情告一段落後，現場音樂表演終於可以再度回歸。
當晚會由 Kasa 帶嚟清新原創及翻唱歌曲展開序幕；之後有 Warrior Monk 表演合成搖滾。 緊接住有 Dysfunction嘅後朋克車庫搖滾；最後 Gravity 會以硬搖滾結束當晚活動。
The Underground HK 創辦人 Chris B 表示：「自 2009 年以嚟，獨立樂隊、音樂人同埋一眾音樂發燒友一直都有詢問我哋幾時恢復演出，我哋都非常意外。原創音樂喺香港呢座城市嘅人氣飆升，大家對於發現「跟住嘅另一件大事」都非常興奮。 過去演出過嘅新晉樂隊，包括 Nowhere Boys 同埋 Shumking Mansion，而家响香港都已經站穩咗腳。」
